 Succes opens a new hypermarket in Craiova in the location of the former PIC store

The former PIC hypermarket in Craiova was reopened today under the Succes brand. This is the second store of the former PIC network that Succes Nic COM opens after the Piteşti hypermarket.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Business Recovery Services IPURL has been appointed the judicial administrator of PIC S.A. in March 2010, after the company had entered in the insolvency procedure at the end of 2009.
“This reopening of the Craiova store is in line with PwC’s reorganization strategy for PIC, capitalizing the assets of the company. We won’t stop here though. We are currently in negotiations for the reopening of the other former PIC stores as well”, stated Marius Zidaru, Director, Business Recovery Services Leader, PwC Romania.
“The opening of this hypermarket in Craiova confirms the commitment of Succes to impose itself on the hypermarket segment, consolidating its presence in the Oltenia region. Our ambition is to create a network of hypermarkets on a national level and we are confident that there are opportunities on the modern retail market on reasonable prices even in the period of consumption decline”, said Liviu Şendroiu, Succes Nic Com Administrator.
